NTR 4370 - Nutritional Genomics (3) Nutritional genomics examines the integral role of dietary bioactive components in the regulation of gene expression on phenotype, assessing the effects of genetic variations and polymorphisms, characterizing gene networks that affect cellular metabolism, and delays the onset of chronic disease. Students should have a basic understanding of biochemistry, nutrition, and metabolism. Knowledge of basic genetics or molecular biology preferred, but not required.
