                  ME 3501L - Mechanics, Behavior and Selection of Materials Laboratory (1)   Standard physical tests of engineering materials including torsion, tension, compression and bending. Experimental stress analysis using strain gages. Examination of the effects of cold working, annealing, and heat treatment on the mechanical properties of materials. Experiments involving galvanic corrosion and behavior of polymers and ceramics under load. Experiments on creep of polymers and metals. Material selection for prescribed applications.
