EWS 375 - Gender, Ethnicity and Film (4) Humanities approach to the representation of gender, race and ethnicity in film. Focus on both mainstream and self-representation of ethnic and female filmmakers. Examination of techniques, messages, and ideologies in constituting, subverting and reinventing social identities.
Prerequisite(s): All lower division GE courses in Areas A and C. Satisfies GE requirement for Area C4. Component(s): 2 lecture/discussion. Note(s): Open to all majors.
