The world of the microbes and their interactions with human. Emphasis on both the beneficial and harmful effects of microbes on human and our daily life. Course fulfills GE Synthesis B5.

Prerequisite(s): One GE course from each of the following Sub-areas: A1, A2, A3 and B3 (BIO 110/111L , or BIO 115/115A/115L , or BIO 121/121L ).
Component(s): 4 lecture/discussion. Not for core or support credit for students with majors in the Biological Sciences Department.
