AVS 436 - Biochemical Adaptations in Animals (3) A view of how the biochemistry of animals has adapted to the environment. Topics include adaptations to exercise, high altitude, diving, hibernation, desiccation, temperature, lactation. Students are expected to present seminars.
Prerequisite(s): BIO 115/115A/115L or BIO 121/121L , and junior standing. Component(s): 3 lectures.
