ARO 421 - Helicopter Aerodynamics and Performance (4)

The development of rotary-wing aircraft and the helicopter. Review of blade element/momentum theory; hovering and vertical flight theory; autorotation; performance in forward flight.

Prerequisite(s): C or better in ARO 305 , and ARO 405 .
