EWS 2040 - Asian/Pacific Islander American Historical Experience (3) A historical discussion of various Asian Pacific American historical experiences. Through an interdisciplinary and comparative approach, race, ethnicity, gender, colonialism, nationalism will be placed at the center of analysis. This class will address Western and imperialist expansion and domination in Asia, Asian immigration pattern, labor, family, community, and social life of Asian immigrants and their descendants in American society.
