Introduces different financial institutions and markets. Focuses on risk management through financial markets and instruments from a microeconomics perspective. Discusses the impact of government regulation and monetary policy on financial markets and institutions.

Prerequisite(s): C or better in ACC 2070  or 207/A; ACC 2080  or 208/A; EC 2201  or ACC 201; EC 2202  or 202; FRL 3000 , 300 or 301; MAT 1250  or 125, 114 and 115, or MAT 1140 ; STA 1200  or 120; and ENG 1103 , ENG 1101 , 103, 104, 107, 109, 110, IGE 1100 , IGE 1200 , 120, 121, or 122.
