Causes and characteristics of moderate/severe disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders. Current research and educational practices. Use of data-based decision-making in educational programming. Current issues and trends. Introduction to assistive technology for students with disabilities. Includes field experience.

Prerequisite(s): Junior or Senior standing; or admitted to ED SPEC Cred Program or ITEP student.
