ECI 5240 - Critical Literacy in Children’s and Adolescent Literature (3)

Inquiry into critical issues in children’s and adolescent literature to understand the social construction of power relationships, to interrogate relationships between language and power, and popular culture and media. Development of curricula to promote social justice for K-12 classrooms. 3 seminars. May be taken up to three times, only with different topics, for a total credit of 9 units.
