BIO 4220 - Neural Circuits of Behavior (3)


Understanding how neuronal circuits control animal behavior, particularly innate behaviors. Techniques for circuitry mapping, monitoring, and manipulation. The neural bases of the following behaviors will be described: circadian rhythms, feeding, mating, pair bonding, gender identity, aggression, innate fear, anxiety and neuropsychiatric illnesses.

Prerequisite(s): BIO 426, BIO 4190 , or BIO 4259 .
