ECE 4869 - Power Electronics (3) Basic principles of Power Electronics with an emphasis on the analysis and design of DC switch-mode power supplies and DC to AC inverters using pulse-width modulation (pwm). Design of basic circuit topologies, control modes (voltage /current, etc.), control stability, high power factor design, pwm amplifiers, selection of magnetic components and output filters.
Prerequisite(s): ECE Major; and ECE 2200 , ECE 220, or ECE 299. Component(s): Lecture Grading Basis: Graded Only Repeat for Credit: May be taken only once
