ME 4251L - Advanced Machine Design and Analysis Laboratory (1) The role and usage of analysis in design, seeking to hone the engineering judgment of students in the idealization and modelling of real machine components and structures, such that students will be able to evaluate machine structures quickly and efficiently, using both classical hand analysis and finite element analysis methods and comparing their results. 1 three-hour laboratory.
Prerequisite(s): ME Majors; C- or better in ME 325 or ME 3250 , and C- or better in ME 325L or ME 3250L . Corequisite(s): ME 4251 . Component(s): Laboratory Contact Hour(s): 1 three-hour laboratory. Grading Basis: Graded Only Repeat for Credit: May be taken only once
