ARO 4011 - Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer (4) Thermodynamic properties and processes; equations of state; work and heat; the first law of thermodynamics; the second law of thermodynamics and entropy; Carnot cycle; and Brayton cycle. Conduction, convection and radiation heat transfer. Heat diffusion equation. 1-D, 2-D and 3-D conduction. Transient conduction. Finite difference methods in heat transfer. Heat, mass and momentum transfer by convection in external and internal flows. Radiation heat transfer analysis.
