BIO 3240 - Principles of Evolution (3)


A study of biological evolution as a natural process resulting in the generation of biodiversity and ultimately the origin of humans. Overview of the basic principles of scientific knowledge and the history of evolutionary thinking, leading to the development of the modern Theory of Evolution. Review of the origin and history of life on Earth and the fossil record. Analysis of evolutionary processes at the molecular, organismal, and ecosystem levels.

Prerequisite(s): BIO 123/BIO 123L and BIO 303; or BIO 1220 /BIO 1220L  and BIO 2400 ; or BIO 122/BIO 122L and BIO 1220C.
