ARO 5460 - Orbit Determination and Estimation (3) Cross Listed as: ARO 4460 A brief review of the two-body dynamics and space environment; fundamentals of probability and statistics; introduction to orbit problem. Fundamentals of orbit determination techniques: the least squares solution, the minimum variance estimate, maximum likelihood and bayesian estimation, batch and sequential estimation, and the Gauss-Markov process. Observation techniques and models.
