Study of food systems in developing nations with an emphasis in food processing, food technology, food safety issues, and food laws and regulations. Discussion of background information on a specific country selected for study. The preparatory course for participation in FST 4250 Food Systems in Developing Nations II, which includes a trip to a developing country during one of the university recesses.
