GSC 5640 - Advanced Shallow Subsurface Geophysics (2) Advanced geophysical methods used to investigate the Earth’s shallow subsurface. Focus on application of these methods and interpretation of geophysical data through forward and inverse modeling. Methods include: seismic refraction, resistivity, magnetics, gravity, ground penetrating radar. Discussion of case studies and scientific literature.
Prerequisite(s): MAT 114, MAT 1140 , MAT 115, MAT 1150 or MAT 116; and GSC 434 or GSC 4340 . Corequisite(s): GSC 5640L . Component(s): Lecture Grading Basis: Graded Only Repeat for Credit: May be taken only once
