MU 1730 - Studio Woodwind (1) Weekly individual instructional lessons. Repertoire and technical studies determined by option selected as appropriate for flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, or saxophone. Jury examination required. Repeatable up to 6 units Course not available to non-majors except by special audition. Total credit limited by option. The student will be asked to perform 2 contrasting pieces. One should be a piece from the standard repertoire and one should be an etude by Andersen, Kohler or Garibaldi. The student should be able to perform the following Major scales (2 octaves): C, G, D, A, F, Bb, and Eb. The student should also be able to play a two octave scale.
Prerequisite(s): Music Dept min perform req; and Audition. Corequisite(s): MU 2700 and appropriate ensemble.
