MU 1720 - Studio Brass (1) Weekly individual instructional lessons. Repertoire and technical studies determined by option selected as appropriate for trumpet, horn, trombone, tuba, or euphonium. Jury examination required. Repeatable up to 6 units. Total credit limited by option. Course not available to non-majors except by special audition. French Horn The student will be asked to perform two contrasting pieces. One should be an Etude from either the Preparatory Melodies by Pottag, Book I or II by Maxime Alphonse or from a comparable book. The student should be able to perform major scales through 4 flats and sharps, one or two octaves.
Prerequisite(s): Music Dept min perform req; and Audition. Corequisite(s): MU 2700 and appropriate ensemble.
