Social, political, economic, and cultural shaping and impact of American science and technology from colonial period to the present. Science in government, industrial revolution, technological systems, Taylorism, atomic bomb, Cold War, environmental movement, computer, internet, social media, biotechnology, and climate change.

Prerequisite(s): Completion of GE Area A2, and any two in lower division area C (if credit is  for C3) or any two in lower division area D (if credit is for D4).
