GSC 3350 - Exploring Earth’s Oceans: Oceanography (3) Scientific investigation of fundamental processes emphasizing physical, chemical, and geological oceanography. Topics include currents, tides, waves, beaches, chemistry of ocean water, ocean basin evolution and physiography, sedimentation, coastal hazards, marine climate, and relevant marine biological processes. Independent field trip. Individual or team presentations describe selected oceanographic phenomena or case studies. Course fulfills GE synthesis B5.
