Investigation of the economic, technological, and social climate that allowed the Beatles to become an enduring phenomenon, from their nascent music making in post-WW II Liverpool and the red light district of Hamburg to their eventual influence on music and popular culture worldwide. Course fulfills GE Interdisciplinary Synthesis C4 or D4.
