LA 102/102L - Introduction to Landscape Design (1/2) Principles of basic design and their application in the development of design concepts; use of creative problem-solving techniques in landscape design; sensory exploration and interpretation of factors that shape natural, physical, and cultural (man-made) landscapes. The course is site- and site-user-related, with an emphasis upon contextualism and the determinants of design and form.
Prerequisite(s): ENV 101/101L with a grade of “C” or better. Component(s): 1 one-hour lecture, 2 three-hour laboratories.
