- If American Institutions Part A and Part B, both have been satisfied by lower division transferred courses, take any GE Area C3: Arts and Humanities Synthesis (3) or GE Area D4: Social Science Synthesis (3) .
- If only American Institutions Part B: U.S. Constitution and California Government has been satisfied by lower division transferred courses, take HST 3340 - History of American Institutions and Ideals, 1877-present (3) [C3] (Amer. Inst. Part A).
