Any MAE, MAT, or STA course at the 4000 or 5000 level (other than MAT 4170 , courses numbered 4000, or courses already counted in major required) may be chosen as an elective and fulfill the 12-14 units. No more than 2 total units of MAT 5000 or STA 5000 may be included. No more than 6 total units of MAE 5990 , MAT 4990 , MAT 5990 , STA 4990 , or STA 5990 may be included. Emphases are listed to provide guidance for helping students to choose courses of interest that best fit your career goals, but there is no requirement for choosing a specific emphasis for fulfilling these units.
