Note(s):
All students in any College of Business Administration subplan, and all other students taking certain business courses, must demonstrate proficiency with specific personal computer software packages. The proficiency must be demonstrated prior to taking any business course with the term “personal computer proficiency” in the prerequisite list. Some business courses identify specific personal computer packages in their prerequisite lists. In these cases, proficiency in the noted packages must be demonstrated prior to taking the course.
1 Personal Computer Proficiency must be demonstrated by satisfying one of the following alternatives: 1) CIS 1010 or 2) an approved college course.

Subplan/Option Required: 9 units
Subplan/Option Electives: 18 units
Select ONE three-unit “Learn by Doing” capstone course: 3 units
Select ONE of the following emphases: 15 units
Any combination of courses listed below will satisfy the required 15 units. Emphases are listed to provide guidance for helping students to choose courses of interest that best fit your career goals, but there is no requirement for choosing a specific emphasis for fulfilling these units.
Management and Leadership Emphasis: 15
Emphasis Recommended: 6 units
Group One - Management and Leadership Electives
Strongly recommended to take 6 units (TWO courses) from Group One. At least 3 units (ONE course) should be chosen from Group One.
Group Two - Management and Human Resources Electives
Take 3 units from Group Two.
If some of the aforementioned electives in Group One are not available, another 3 units can be chosen from Group Two, but no more than 6 units from Group Two.
When taking 6 units from Group Two, it could be any combination of two 3000 and/or 4000-level courses
- MHR 3XXX - Any 3000-level MHR course (3)
- MHR 4XXX - Any 4000-level MHR course (3)
Human Resources Emphasis: 15 units
Emphasis Recommended: 12 units
Emphasis Other: 3 units

General Education Requirements: 48 units
Students should view their Degree Progress Report (DPR) for information regarding their General Education requirements. Unless specific GE courses are required for their major, please refer to the list of approved courses in the General Education Program in the University Catalog, https://catalog.cpp.edu. When viewing the catalog, students should select the catalog year associated with the GE requirements listed in their Degree Progress Report.

Graduation Writing Test
The Graduation Writing Test (GWT) is suspended until Fall 2025. Students entering Cal Poly Pomona before Fall 2025 are not required to take the Graduation Writing Test.
