It is entirely possible that students will have taken additional courses that can be petitioned to satisfy some elective or required courses.

The prospective student is advised to complete two semesters of class piano, a World Music course that will transfer as MU 1030  and an Introductory Music Technology course that will transfer as MU 1080  in order to provide for a lighter load over the two years.

Any 3 units of GE Area B1: Physical Sciences (3)  is an acceptable substitution for PHY 1050 The Physics of Musical Sound  if the equivalent course of PHY 1050  was not taken at the previous institution and PHY 1050  could not be taken within 60 units at CPP.

Any 1 unit of GE Area B3: Laboratory Activity (1)  is an acceptable substitution for PHY 1050L Physics of Musical Sound Laboratory  if the equivalent course of PHY 1050L  was not taken at the previous institution and PHY 1050L  could not be taken within 60 units at CPP.

Any 3 units of GE Area C1: Visual and Performing Arts (3)  is an acceptable substitution for MU 1030 World of Music  if the equivalent course of MU 1030  was not taken at the previous institution and MU 1030  could not be taken within 60 units at CPP.
