Required Core Courses for Major
Required of all students. A 2.0 cumulative GPA is required in core courses in order to receive a degree in the major. Elective Core Courses: 16 units
Each student will complete 4 upper division courses (16 units) in 2 or more of the social sciences (Anthropology, Economics, Ethnic and Women’s Studies, Geography, History, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Social Sciences). Single Subject (Secondary) Credential
NOTE: Students whose goal is a single subject (secondary) credential must take At least 2 courses in U.S. History selected with consent of advisor from the following list: 8 units
Required Support Courses
Required of all students Unrestricted Electives: 22-42 units
Select a sufficient number of courses so that the total from “Required Support”, “GE”, and “Unrestricted Electives” is at least 122 units. General Education Requirements: 68 units
