The graphic design degree offers students the opportunity to study a range of visual communication problems. Students learn to work creatively in typography, print, identity, illustration, packaging, web design, motion graphics, and environmental graphic design. Support courses in communications, advertising, and marketing are recommended.
The department trains students to keep abreast of changing technology. Due to the department’s unique location, a wide variety of internships in Southern California studios and industries are available for upper division students.
