Administrative Services Credential - Experimental Program Standards
Offered by: College of Education and Integrative Studies, Education Department
The Great Leaders for Great Schools Academy (GLGSA) is an innovative Administrative Services Credential program funded by a leadership development grant by the US Department of Education. The program recommends candidates for the Preliminary Tier I credential. The GLGSA is currently California’s first and only fully accredited administrator credential program approved under the state’s “experimental program standards” criteria. The program was developed in partnership with the Pomona Unified School District for the purpose of preparing 30 school leaders with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to turn around low performing schools in the district. These courses are now offered to all candidates admitted to the administrative services credential program. The courses are considered equivalent to the existing standard courses and may be applied to the credential and the M.A. Educational Leadership Subplan/Option.
