The focus of this production-based program is on the creative integration of graphics, animation, video, audio, text, and interactivity for educational and training settings based on the sound principles of instructional design. Candidates develop theoretical foundations in creating multimedia materials, enhance their technical skills and become involved in creating a variety of innovative interactive multimedia-based learning environments for an array of professional settings.

Prerequisite Courses: 8 units
Admission to the Educational Multimedia subplan/option requires successful completion of the following courses: Note:
Prerequisite courses may be waived at the discretion of the program coordinator based on an assessment of equivalent courses or professional experience. Core Specialization Courses: 24 units
Complementary Elective Courses: 8 units
With the approval of the advisor, a minimum of 3 units is to be selected from the following list: Research Methods (up to 16 units)
Culminating Experience (up to 6 units)

This subplan/option does not require a teaching credential. Research Methods - For Education Multimedia only, the research courses are stipulated as GED 690 and GED 693 . |
