BIO 121/121L - Foundations of Biology: Energy and Matter - Cycles and Flows (3/2) Defined by the theme of Energy and Matter: Cycles and Flows, this course will examine the acquisition, utilization and flow of energy and matter through various taxa (microbes, plants, animals) and organizational levels (cells, organisms, populations, ecosystems) that comprise living systems. Designed as the first of three foundation courses required of all majors offered by the Biological Sciences Department. Courses fulfill GE Sub-area B2. BIO 121L fulfills GE Sub-area B3.
