ECS 4750 - Early Childhood Inquiry and Methodology (3) The detailed study of learning and development with an emphasis on appropriate research methods, statistics, probability, and applications of research findings related to education and childhood studies. Preparation to synthesize, evaluate, and apply empirical studies of child development and related fields to provide students the skills to distinguish between appropriate and inappropriate applications of research findings. It will also focus on issues related to interpreting research with an eye for diversity issues, social justice, and how to communicate research findings related to education, child development, and related fields.
