SW 3320 - Medical Social Work (3) Social work roles, interventions, and issues related to helping clients in health settings. Examination of advanced practice skills and strategies relevant to health care settings in work with individual clients, families, groups, interdisciplinary teams, and service providers. Ethical dilemmas that emerge from the convergence of consumer, provider and societal needs are emphasized. Consideration of the effects of class, race, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability culture, and ethnicity on social work practice with various populations in contemporary health care.
