ECS 2350 - Introduction to Early Childhood Curriculum (3) An overview of knowledge and skills related to providing appropriate curriculum and environments for young children from birth to age 8. Examine a teacher’s role in supporting development and engagement for all young children. Strategies for developmentally appropriate practice based on observation and assessments across the curriculum, including (a) academic content areas; (b) play, art, and creativity; and (c) development of social-emotional, communication, and cognitive skills.
