AG 4010 - Ethical Issues in Food, Agricultural and Apparel Industries (3)


Socioeconomic and scientific issues in the Food, Agricultural, and Apparel Systems within a framework of moral philosophy and ethical reasoning. Analysis of topics in biotechnology in agricultural and apparel production, food processing, intellectual property rights, food safety, nutrition, the treatment of animals, the environment, labor rights in a global marketplace, and reducing world hunger and malnutrition.

Prerequisite(s): Junior or Senior Standing; and Lower division GE requirements in Area A, at least two sub-areas in Area C, and at least two sub-areas in Area D.
