EDU 5400 - Teaching and Learning in Spanish-English Bilingual Settings (3) Examines foundations of schooling in the US with a focus on theoretical and historical approaches toward educational equity for diverse communities. Supports teacher candidates in developing for culturally responsive teacher dispositions. Introduces sociolinguistic principles of effective pedagogies for English learners. Includes 15 hours of fieldwork for pre-credential candidates and 20 hours for post-credential candidates.
