Required Core Courses for Major: 141 units


Required of all students. A 2.0 cumulative GPA is required in core courses, including subplan courses for the major, in order to receive a degree in the major.

Professional Practice Requirement: 500 hours


Prior to graduation, all students are required to register for NCARB IDP and fulfill 500 hours of internship through NCARB.  For more information, please see the department website.

Required Support Courses: 16 units


The following major support courses should be used to satisfy the indicated GE requirements. If these courses are not used to satisfy GE, the total units to degree may be more than 225 units.

Interdisciplinary General Education


The Department of Architecture prefers that students starting in the program as freshmen take the Interdisciplinary General Education (IGE) program coursework to partially meet their general education degree requirements. IGE coursework is as follows:
