TH 208 - Introduction to Film and American Culture (4)

An introductory course examining the development of American Cinema as a contemporary performance from a technical, theoretical, social and multicultural perspective. Students will be exposed to various film genres, methods of film production, film esthetics, and the impact film has on American society. The evolution of film as art, entertainment, and social/political message will be explored through cultural and racial perspectives. Course fulfills GE Sub-area C1.
