CHM 101 - Chemistry in Our World (3)


Analysis of important concepts, principles and applications of chemistry for non-science -majors. Topics include atomic theory, organic and biochemistry with application to foods, drugs, medicines, fossil fuels and energy production, polymers, plastics and fibers. Course fulfils GE Sub-area B1.

Note(s): This course is not intended for science majors.  This course is not open to students who have credit in CHM 103/103A  or CHM 121 .  Prior experience with high school chemistry is not required.
