CHE 301 - Applied Mathematics in Chemical and Materials Engineering (3) A study in the application of basic linear algebra, derivative, and integral concepts to solve chemical and materials engineering problems. Use of first-order ordinary differential equations to solve transient materials and energy balances.
Prerequisite(s): ENG 103 , ENG 104 , ENG 107 , ENG 109 , ENG 110 , IGE 120 , IGE 121 , or IGE 122 ; C- or better in MAT 216 ; and C- or better in CHE 202/212L . Component(s): 3 lectures/problem-solving.
